Jimmie Don Aycock served in the Texas Legislature for 10 years starting in 2007. CD Austin had been working on the Aycocks’ campaign materials since 2005 when they approached us about designing their first Christmas card — Christmas cards are a BIG deal among Texas lawmakers.

Marie Aycock is well-known for her acumen in the kitchen. Not wanting any ordinary holiday card, we decided to make a small 8-page booklet with some favorite recipes. It met with a tremendous response, and for the next 8 years we were driven to make each one better than the last. CD Austin was responsible for all photography and the graphic design of each card. See some of the food photos, which were promptly devoured after each shot.

When Rep. Aycock retired, we created a website and posted all the recipes to Marie’s Kitchen. Please enjoy. Each one is a tried-and-true favorite!
